Since the opening of the Hefei-Fuzhou High Speed Railway in 2015, which links the scenic landscapes of Anhui, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces, trains running at 350 km/h have reduced travel time from Nanchang to Wuyuan to just one and a half hours. The high-speed railway has paved a broad path to shared prosperity amid green hills and clear waters. The high-speed railway economy brings tourism benefits to local communities. In the first half of 2025, Guanyang Village in Fujian received 2 million visitors, generating more than 200 million yuan in ticket revenue. The village hosts over 100 guesthouses with an average occupancy rate of 70%. “Ecotourism + tea tourism” has increased income for more than 200 tea farmers by 8,000 yuan per person, raising Guanyang Village’s per capita income from 10,000 yuan in 2008 to 30,000 yuan in 2024.
