The service for transporting pets by train was first introduced in April this year, initially available on only 10 trains at five stations along the Beijing-Shanghai line. In just over six months, the service has expanded to 50 trains across multiple routes. As of October 31, a total of 4,757 pets had been transported, demonstrating strong demand. The 12306 ticketing platform has accordingly upgraded its pet transport services.
