Train Z114: A "Migratory Bird Train" Becomes a Mobile Nursing Home

During the Double Ninth Festival

      On October 28, the eve of the Double Ninth Festival, a special "Caring for the Elderly" event was held aboard Train Z114 from Harbinxi Railway Station to Haikou Railway Station. The train, which takes about 48 hours to travel across eight provinces, is affectionately known as a "mobile nursing home," as most passengers are seniors migrating seasonally between north and south.

　　The crew decorated the dining car with festive themes and organized sachet-making and poetry activities to create a warm holiday atmosphere. The onboard meals are tailored to senior passengers' tastes and health needs—lightly seasoned, soft in texture, and with low-sugar, low-fat options available on request. "The meals are well-balanced and easy to digest. I'm really touched," said passenger Dong Hongguang.

　　Based on passenger feedback, the operator plans to further improve senior-friendly services, ensuring that these "migratory" seniors enjoy a comfortable and pleasant journey.
